Seeing Speech, Hearing Tongues

Monday 10 – Friday 14 April

Speaking is a highly complex and uniquely human skill that we study with ultrasound scanners. Join us in The Experimetarium for this interactive activity to find out how your tongue (and the rest of your vocal tract) move and change to produce the sounds of speech; it’s like having a whole orchestra inside your mouth!

This event is part of The Experimentarium - a brand new space for Science Festival 2017 that's packed full of weird, wonderful and cutting edge science.

Presented by Queen Margaret University
