Get Playful

At Science Festival 2017 we’re created a brand new interactive exhibition that lets you get hands-on with the amazing ways technology influences our leisure time, showcase the science behind why we play and the amazing new developments in how we do it. Taking centre stage in the Grand Gallery of the National Museum of Scotland, Play On highlights digital innovation and technology from Scotland and beyond across for immersive zones – Picture This, Game Theory, Make Some Noise and Toy Box.

As well as the exhibition itself, we’ve also programmed a variety of interactive workshops to give you the chance to get hands on with technology in play. You can Build Your Own Drawing Robot, be a Conductive DJ, try your hand at Stop Motion Animation or event take part in an RFID Treasure Hunt.
